SC Launch! is open to seed and early-stage South Carolina-based advanced technology companies. Our process is selective because we focus our resources on assisting companies with the greatest opportunities to help us grow a strong technology business base in South Carolina.

What does SC Launch! provide for South Carolina start-ups?

1. Funding - We offer funding in the form of small grants, loans, and equity investments of up to $200,000. While you may not qualify initially for the $200,000, you may qualify for other levels of funding and we will work diligently with you to develop your business case for the maximum funding level. Please know that the process requires time and commitment on your part. We do this in order to prepare you for the rigors of follow-on funding from angel investors and venture capital firms.
   
   
2. Services - We offer business counseling, on-going mentoring, assistance with business plans and marketing analysis through our staff, selected agencies, and universities.
   
   
3. Access to our Resource Partners - Our Resource Partners provide basic services such as banking, accounting, legal counsel, insurance, advertising, marketing, and human resources. In addition to services, they assist with training and mentoring.
   
   
4. Networking and Connections - Our organization is well-connected among the business and economic development sector of the State and can provide important network opportunities that will assist your business.
   

What do I have to do to become an SC Launch! client?

You will then be directed to an application in which we will ask you detailed questions about your business. Once your application has been submitted, one of our SC Launch! team members will be contacting you to set up an initial evaluation.
